1. Description of Service

Gaus is a math puzzle game where colorful fruit emojis represent numbers. You use logic and arithmetic to determine each symbol's value across two game modes: Quiz Mode (timed) and Level Mode (self-paced). The App tracks your progress and scores, is currently free to download, requires no account, and is available on iOS and Android through the Apple App Store and Google Play Store.

CanMage, LLC ("we," "us," or "our") operates the Gaus mobile application ("App"). These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the App. By downloading, installing, or using Gaus, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.

2. Eligibility

Gaus is intended for a general audience and is not directed at children under 13 years old. If you are under the age of majority in your jurisdiction, you may only use the App with the involvement of a parent or legal guardian. If you are a parent or guardian allowing a child to use Gaus, you accept these Terms on the child's behalf and are responsible for their use of the App.

3. Free Access and Future Changes

Gaus is currently available free of charge with full access to all features. We reserve the right to introduce advertising, in-app purchases, or subscriptions in the future. If we do, we will:

• Provide advance notice within the App
• Update these Terms to reflect the change
• Process any payments through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store, subject to their respective terms

4. License Grant

Subject to your compliance with these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to download and use Gaus on devices you own or control, for personal, non-commercial purposes. This license does not include the right to:

• Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App
• Copy, modify, distribute, resell, or sublicense the App or its content
• Remove or alter any copyright, trademark, or proprietary notices
• Create derivative works based on the App

5. Your Progress Data

All game progress, scores, and statistics are stored locally on your device only — Gaus does not sync this data to any server. Uninstalling the App, clearing its data, or replacing your device will permanently delete this information. We are not responsible for any loss of progress resulting from device issues, uninstallation, or data corruption.

6. Prohibited Conduct

You agree not to:

• Use the App for any unlawful purpose or in violation of these Terms
• Attempt to hack, exploit, or interfere with the App's security or functionality
• Use bots, scripts, or other automated means to interact with the App
• Use the App for any commercial purpose without our prior written permission
• Infringe on the intellectual property rights of CanMage, LLC or others

7. Intellectual Property

The App, including its design, graphics, code, puzzles, and branding, is owned by CanMage, LLC and protected by applicable copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. All rights not expressly granted to you under these Terms are reserved by CanMage, LLC.

8. Privacy

Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle information in connection with the App and is incorporated into these Terms by reference.

9. Third-Party Services

Gaus relies on certain third-party services, including:

• Apple App Store and Google Play Store for app distribution
• Firebase Analytics and Crashlytics for anonymous, aggregated usage and crash data, as described in our Privacy Policy

Your use of these services is also subject to their own terms and policies.

10. Disclaimers

THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE," WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT GUARANTEE THAT THE APP WILL BE ERROR-FREE, UNINTERRUPTED, OR THAT IT WILL MEET YOUR EXPECTATIONS.

11. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, CANMAGE, LLC SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA OR PROGRESS, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OR INABILITY TO USE THE APP. SOME JURISDICTIONS DO NOT ALLOW THESE LIMITATIONS, SO THEY MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU.

12. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless CanMage, LLC, its officers, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use of the App or violation of these Terms.

13. Termination

You may stop using Gaus at any time by uninstalling the App, which will permanently delete all locally stored progress. We may suspend or terminate your access to the App at any time, without notice, if we believe you have violated these Terms. Provisions relating to intellectual property, disclaimers, and limitation of liability survive termination.

14. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Washington, United States, without regard to its conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising from these Terms or the App shall be resolved in the state or federal courts located in King County, Washington. Before filing a claim, please contact us at support@canmage.com so we can attempt to resolve the issue informally.

15. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Changes are effective when posted on this page, and we will update the "Effective Date" above. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

16. Miscellaneous

If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in full effect. These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and CanMage, LLC regarding the App. Our failure to enforce any right does not waive that right. You may not assign these Terms without our written consent; we may assign them freely.

17. Feedback

If you send us feedback or suggestions about Gaus, you grant us the right to use them without any obligation to compensate or credit you.
